Reflection
It is important to be able to assess whether something is working or not. This course provided me with tools for assessment and helped
me to understand what items to look at to determine whether the desired outcomes were occurring or not. Although my school district
already uses the Electronic Alignment Tool created by the Show-Me Curriculum Administrator's Association
SMCAA) and the University of Missouri's Instructional Materials Laboratory, this course provided me the opportunity to test drive the
EAT Online. I found this to be very helpful and I will use my experiences
to help in decision-making concerning our district going to the "online" version. The assignments on assessing curriculum were very valuable
since part of my job duties is Curriculum Coordinator. The assessment checklists were helpful in analyzing our school's curriculum. The
completion of the Performance Assessment pushed me to develop a lesson plan that made the use of technology meaningful. I also gained resources
to provide to my teachers after working with Electronic Portfolio comparisons. I have a wealth of resources for assessment of learning after completing
this course.
