9417 Technology Action Research
Course Description
Take a technology-related problem in an educational setting and figure out a way to solve it - that's Technology Action Research. You will learn to systematically study and analyze an educational situation, and create an Action Research Plan that will guide the improvement process. The process works for everything from one-on-on tutoring programs to building-level enterprises. *
Reflection
This course is in progress. I have learned what Action Research is and how it differs from traditional educational research. I believe it is going to be interesting and somewhat exciting to develop a plan that will hopefully improve a vexing problem in my classroom--trying to get my deaf students to write. I am making a plan for action research to discover how technology can be used to help motivate deaf students to actively practice writing.
