The design courses work to develop skill in building a wide variety of learning environmnets including systems for direct instruction, constructivist learning, collaborative work and performance support.
Instructional Systems Design
This course was an introduction to instructional design using the ADDIE model. The focus was building solid learning systems for an adult audience and culminated in the creation of an instructor led training program.

Designing Computer Support for Collaborative Learning
This course taught me how to evaluate the use of technology to support and enhance learning through collaboration. In addition to experiencing the pros and cons of collaboration through an online environment we were able to create a collaborative lesson to explore how to successfully implement this technique.

Using sound design principals, this course explores practice strategies associated with the unique issues of implementing an online course. Topics covered include how to design an overall structure, designing and facilitating online discussion forums and grading and assessing meaningful learning in online courses.
