In evaluation of students, it is important to utilize observation, scoring guides, and interviews. By simply walking around my own classroom, I am able to determine if students are using technology appropriately and if it is increasing their productivity. In a project titled, Piggletown Planners, I was able to observe students by walking around, question their activities, and students designed a written letter, created a graph, and the scoring guide allowed me to assess their work.
In my Iditarod Unit, students are assessed and evaluated through multiple choice testing, observation, interviews, and scoring guides. Providing multiple formats for assessment is the ultimate way to maximize productivity in the classroom. |
