ISLT 9475 Diffusion of Educational Innovations

 Description

In-depth analysis of innovation development and adoption processes in educational organizations, including schools, universities, and training centers. *

Reflection

The purpose of this course is to examine the change process as it relates to educational innovations within organizations and to practice using tools to identify issues in the change process so adoption interventions can be decided and designed.

The required diffusion of educational innovations will become more rampant and rapid as technology advances integrate themselves into the day to day learning activities of organizations.  Knowledge of how to facilitate diffusion cannot be underplayed so use of the technology itself does not impede delivery of the knowledge and skills needed.

Taking this course helped me to appreciate how rapid adoption of innovations, including learning innovations, can actually be a competitive advantage for an organization that leverages technologies.
