Technology to Enhance Learning (ISLT9467)

Course Description: Strategies for integrating technology into the teaching and learning process, with a focus on enhancing how students think rather than what they think. Special attention given to supporting higher order thinking and problem solving with technology.

Reflection: This course provided lots of practical resources that I could take directly back to my classroom and implement, including lessons in the KITE database, which I could use to get ideas for how to successfully integrate different types of technology into my teaching.

Along with good examples of instructional technology, we were also asked to examine technology-integrated lessons that weren’t so good. I learned a lot from that too – both from seeing some of my own practices turn up on the “bad” list, and from seeing and learning from the mistakes of others.
