Personal Reflection

Going into this course, I had no idea what to expect. The title was a little daunting and I wasn't entirely certain what was meant by "Computer Supported Collaborative Learning". However, this turned out to be what I consider the most valuable course in my Education Specialist program of study. In the past, working with groups in an online course was not a positive experience for me, but the online collaborative experiences were so well designed that I now understand the power of virtual collaboration, assuming that meticulous planning has occured on the part of the instructor. Of particular value to me was the opportunity we had to design our own online collaborative lesson which was a perfect capstone to the course, solidifying the concepts we had studied throughout the semester.
