I have been employed at many jobs that uniquely qualify me for a career in the field of educational technology.  Throughout my working life I have enjoyed employment positions that required me to use the technology at hand to complete my work. In earlier days, as a real estate appraiser, I used computers with special software to create and print reports and external modems to get the latest housing data. As a designer, I used presentation and design software to create and explain my designs. In more recent years as a teacher, I have enjoyed sharing my knowledge with my students while I taught design and business classes using the Mac computer lab that I designed and managed.
