Course Description*

Principles of assessment in instructional process, emphasizes role of technology. Tools, strategies for data collection and management to guide instructional decision-making; aligning standards, learning activities, and assessments; assessment to measure higher-order thinking. (3 credit hours)

Personal Reflection

One of the biggest challenges I have as a Keyboarding and Computer Applications instructor is creating opportunities for higher order thinking activities for my students. Fortunately, this course helped me in developing some excellent activities and introduced me to some useful technological tools. Best of all, these activities were designed to be used in the actual classes I teach so they had immediate, real-world application.
