Reflection and Artifacts
This class really tested me as a student. I had looked at the coding of a website only once or twice before. I had created a website in my Undergraduate courses, but they were created using Netscape. I also had a classroom website that I created using Mozilla. Between these two websites, I figured that this class would be easier for me than for someone who had never even tried to create a website before. I learned very quickly how challenging this class was going to be for me. I had to learn so much about the different commands that website creators use to get even simple things like a table to appear on a page and how to get it to be the correct size.
This class made me appreciate all of the people who have had to create websites from scratch using only something like notepad. The information I gained from this class helped me feel better about the technological problems that we were experiencing. Our technology coordinator and webmaster of the school district's webpage had decided to update the schools website and the software that was used to create it. By doing this it made the Mozilla creator that I had been using obsolete. This put me in a bit of a panic at first, because I knew how much my students' parents appreciate the classroom website and the information I provided on it. After taking this class though, I knew if I could not find another easy way to recreate my website I could at least hand code a new one.
