Reflection

The information super highway grows larger every second. This class provided insight on new areas of the Internet being utilized for communication. Discussion forums related to social networking and blogs explored several types of communication now taking place via Internet. Prior to this class, I was not very familiar with blogs and wikispaces, which ended up being the main focus of the course. As a team, we created a learning activity online using wikispace as the method of communication. It was fun to see how easy the wikispaces are to use and how they provide interactive learning for students.

After using some of these Internet tools, we then created our own online projects to implement with our students in our classrooms. Basically, we practiced creating projects where students used the Internet to gather information, complete assignments, and complete evaluation activities. I had hoped to learn more about methodology of using the Internet in the classroom verses actual Internet tools; however the tools have proven to be very useful in some of my classroom activities.
