The course will help you learn basic web page design and authoring skills, along with browser/server interaction, directory management, and other technical skills. You will also learn to evaluate your website's impact on communication, understanding, and accessibility.

After having many experiences with Dreamweaver during my eMINTS training, I was very familiar with how to build and maintain websites, but had no real understanding of the pieces that truly put them together. Introduction to Web Development gave me an understanding of the html coding and CSS programming that goes into a website. It has allowed me to better manage my files and create websites that I can easily move from one server to another. In many cases, it has allowed me to have a more organized website for my students. I am now able to troubleshoot and determine the real reason why a particular webpage looks a certain way. This course has also given me the skills to build and maintain my electronic portfolio.
