Welcome to Hickman FBLA
What is FBLA?
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)is a national professional student organization that prepares students for careers in business and business-related fields.
FBLA at Hickman has three main aspects:
- Professional- Where we learn new things about business, attend conferences, and work on job skills
- Community Service- Where we give back something to the community that has given us so much
- Social- We get to know each other and have lots of fun
What does FBLA do?
- Promote competent, aggressive business leadership
- Understand American business enterprise
- Establish career goals
- Encourage scholarship
- Promote sound financial management
- Develop character and self-confidence
- Facilitate transition from school to work
Club Announcements/Important Information
Please check these announcements as well as the calendar page often for updated club information and announcements.
- Gifts and/or monetary donations for the Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program are due by Thursday, December 1. Remember, your generosity and participation is assuring our family a happy holiday.
- Holiday Gift Wrapping Party - Monday, December 5, 4:00 p.m. in Room 239. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Come share your holiday cheer as we wrap the gifts for our adopted family.
- Adopt-a-family gifts dropped off at Trinity Baptist Church after school on Wednesday, December 7. 2-3 volunteers are needed to deliver the gifts. Please see Mrs. Thompson or Mrs. Goss if you can provide your time and/or vehicle.
- Last day to sign up for district competitive events is Wednesday, December 14, 2011. If you plan to participate in district competition we must know which events you are interested in participating.
